The Baker Company SterilGARD® III Advance is a Class II Type A/B3 biological safety cabinet designed with vertical laminar airflow and front access opening. Integrated with HEPA filters, the cabinet keeps the environment, the user and the product safe from airborne contaminants. The SterilGARD® III Advance is available in the 4-ft. SG403 and 6-ft. SG603 models.
The SterilGARD® III Advance cabinet is equipped with The Baker Company’s momentum air curtain, creating a faster airflow for an extremely effective air barrier. The biosafety cabinet is also equipped with high velocity air slots to maximize the cabinet’s protective capability, and an airfoil design at the bottom of the sash to maximize containment without compromising comfort.
Built for durability, the SterilGARD® III UniPressure Preflow plenums have been constructed entirely of metal for strength, air-tightness and resistance to deterioration. Additionally, the work surface is made of corrosion-resistant 16-gauge type 304 stainless steel, and are recessed to retain spills. The radiused cove corners make for easy cleaning. For convenience and easier operation, the scan-tested supply and exhaust HEPA filters are installed and removed through the front of the cabinet without entry into SterilGARD’s work area.
The SterilGARD® III Advance Biological Safety Cabinet is also manufactured with ergonomics in mind. The work area lighting system produces 100-foot candles of illumination at the surface, and access to it is made easy with the sliding view screen. The 10-degree sloped front feature also improves operator comfort and safety.
