The NovaSeq 6000 is a high-throughput sequencing platform designed to deliver flexible, scalable output for a wide range of genomic applications. Utilizing advanced two-channel Sequencing by Synthesis (SBS) chemistry and patterned flow cell technology, it supports read lengths up to 2 × 250 base pairs, achieving high data quality with over 85% of bases ≥Q30 for 2 × 150 bp runs.
This system offers a tunable output range from 80 Gb to 6 Tb per run and supports four flow cell types—SP, S1, S2, and S4—providing throughput options from 650 million to 20 billion reads per run. Depending on the read length and flow cell, run times range from approximately 13 to 44 hours.
